What’s on in Leeds: Comedy
Kate Moxon shares some shows that will make you laugh...
Helen Bauer: Madam Good Tit
Where: Hyde Park Book Club
When: Friday 21st October
Not only is Helen Bauer a comedic genius, she’s also a force to be reckoned with. After her much anticipated Live at the Apollo debut last November, she hasn’t stopped! She’s had appearances on Dave’s Late Night Mash and even her very own BBC 3 pilot available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
Along with all of these credits she also has a podcast. Trusty Hogs (hosted by her, Catherine Bohart and Andrew White) is a hilarious weekly show in which the ‘Hogs’ and a guest solve a listener’s problem.
Her new show Madam Good Tit is her first solo tour across the UK and explores the key themes of self-confidence, self-esteem and self-care. With overwhelmingly positive reviews from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Broadway Baby gave her show five stars and described her as ‘an awe-inspiring personality with a touch of comedy star quality’.

If you fancy a night of comedy in the Hyde Park staple venue then look no further. You’ll be in safe hands with Helen.

Olga Koch: Just Friends
Where: Hyde Park Book Club
When: Thursday 27th October
After the recording of her previous show ‘Homecoming’ for Amazon Prime, Olga is back with a brand-new show which is already being called a ‘masterpiece of a stand-up comedy set’ (Broadway Baby).
With credits already including Mock the Week, Late Night Mash and QI, Koch has already solidified her status as a star.
This show, in which Chortle have described as a ‘force of nature’, explores the themes of breakups, bisexuality and even the MCU. The Wee Review describes her comedy as ‘filthy, feminist and sex-positive’.

She has already sold out her run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival earlier this year so this one isn’t to be missed!
